About me

Davide Susca

Italian, born in Luxembourg on November 29, 1970, and resident in Portugal since 2005.

Graduated in interior architecture by the "Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles", always showed interest for arts, in particular painting exploring several techniques developed by himself.

Through art he seeks a different language by reusing various materials, particularly plastic, which he recycles, transforming it into color and texture.

The bright colors in some of her works, result from his Italian roots.

He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe, namely in Portugal, Italy, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain and Germany. In Canada he exhibited in Montreal where he won a gold medal.

Quoting the Italian art critic Vittorio Sgarbi: "Davide Susca is an evidently sensitive and intelligent man. His process is an unusual and original one. He through plastic obtains poetry which is very surprising, interesting and rare."

Project of a book in Italian with Vittorio Sgarbi, art critic in making comments on the works of the 50 artists participating in the project.

His mission is to create art that raises awareness of the environmental issues we live in today, while creating stories in each painting.

Oceanos Sem Plásticos -

I love what you re doing, and what s more, you re making people aware of being more respectful of nature. I love it.

Yvon Glodé -

I especially like one painting: the "Impact". It impresses by its size and intensity. Painted on torn burlap it expresses a feeling of powerlessness in the face of something threatening to humanity. The world we knew full of light and freedom has turned into a dark hole, torn by an unknown and threatening virus that has destroyed lives, freedoms and bonds.
